Facility Engineer

Position Summary:
We are currently looking for an Operating Engineer for a Boise, Idaho location. The Operating Engineer’s principal job duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Performs the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
Performs general facility related maintenance work including: plumbing repairs, replacement of lamps/ballasts, door hardware and other related maintenance tasks.
Performs preventative maintenance, maintenance routines, equipment rounds and service requests as directed.
Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions.
Understanding of Data Center operations, its functionality and critical nature.
Ensure that building equipment and systems are functioning as designed including Fire life safety, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, critical systems, UPS, generators, emergency backup systems and primary switchgear.
Perform various inspection rounds, capture equipment readings and information critical to Data Center operations.
Use of CMMS system to complete tenant work requests, preventative maintenance assignments and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
Adhere to client safety rules and regulations at all times.
May require “on-call” commitments and/or overtime.
Skills, Education and Experience:
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Minimum of four years’ experience in HVAC, Refrigeration Trade, Electrical trade or related field (Emergency backup systems, i.e. generators, UPS, etc.)
Strong “hands on” skills in building maintenance, electrical, HVAC and plumbing.
Knowledge of OSHA and other code and safety standards.
Proficiency in basic computer applications which includes building management systems (BMS)
Understanding of Facility 360 for CMMS is a plus.
