Identity and Access Architect

Position Summary:

The Identity and Access Architect (IAA) works under the direction of the Manager, Information Security (MIS) and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO); works in close coordination with the Information Security and Application Access Teams. The IAM Architect is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of the enterprise’s identity and access management infrastructure and services. IAA services include the access provisioning life cycle, password management, multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, privileged account management, remote access, and identity federation. Other responsibilities include assisting the Information Security Engineer, MIS, and CISO in the definition and modification of the University of Vermont Medical Center information security policies/standards, providing primary and secondary user support for resolving access problems, participating in various project teams, providing security awareness training and performing information security investigations and system audits.

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science or a related field is required. CISSP or other related certification is highly desired.

Experience:

5 or more years of information systems experience or equivalent. Previous experience of information security and identity and access management required. Healthcare information systems experience highly desirable. Previous knowledge in access and authentication protocols beneficial. Experience with Identity and Access management a plus.
