Medication Assisted Therapy RN - Full-time

Please note this is a full-time, 40 hours a week position.

Position Summary:

Provides advanced professional nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's health needs. The MAT RN provides direct care to patients and families, as well as teaching and preparation for continuing care. Standards of Patient Care and Nursing Practice guide the delivery of nursing services by this individual. The MAT RN works closely with the MAT LADC in providing care for this diverse population. The position demonstrates dedication to professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of patient care. Maintains specialty certification where it exists, and/or maintains a minimum of 18 continuing education credits/certificate of attendance hours. Performs one formal presentation each year.

Education:

Vermont registered nurse license. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred. Specialty certification required where it exists or minimum of 18 continuing education hours/year.

Experience:

Two years relevant RN experience required. Must obtain a minimum of 18 continuing education hours within 3 months of start date and then annually after employed. Must have prior experience working with patients/clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues.
