Practice Supervisor / Medical Group

Position Summary: This was formerly referred to as the Pipeline Supervisor position.

The Medical Group leadership team at the University of Vermont Medical Center utilizes a streamlined interview, hiring, onboarding and orientation process for our practice supervisor positions. Individuals are identified, hired and after a comprehensive six week orientation, matched to an open practice supervisor position.

The Practice Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the optimum performance of the daily operations of a clinical site or sites through the management of site operations which include, but are not limited to: patient access, scheduling (office, OR, procedure room, ancillary testing), insurance precertification, referral management, resource utilization, transcription, charge capture, service quality, compliance with accreditation agencies (e.g., The Joint Commission), clinical standards of care as applicable and clinical site staffing.  In addition to these responsibilities, the Practice Supervisor must have an intense commitment to high level customer service, and the ability to foster that culture within the site or sites they manage.  The Practice Supervisor will provide administration direction and coordination of current and long range policies, procedures and programs throughout the Medical Group and the entire Organization.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, with 3 to 5 years of relevant leadership experience preferred or Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing with 5 years of relevant leadership experience required.
