Emergency Response Center Alarm Dispatcher: Second Shift
The hours are second shift (230pm-11pm or 3pm-1130pm) and would include weekend and holiday hours as the center is a 24/7 operation.
There are two positions available
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor alarm signals and respond to alarms using established protocols.
- Verify alarms, dispatch the proper authorities, and notify responsible parties.
- Handle incoming calls, provide answers to inquiries and direct callers to the proper departments
- Document all responses for the alarm within the alarm monitoring software
Required Background and Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Knowledge of basic computer functions including Microsoft Windows.
- Ability to type 30 Wpm minimum.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and speak clearly to customers
- Flexibility to work weekends or other shifts
