Behavior Analyst/Care Coordinator III (8030)

Hillside Children's Center has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Behavior Analyst/Care Coordinator III position! This is a part time position, 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, daytime hours.

Join our team as we develop a new, innovative program to provide evidence-based care for youth with autism spectrum disorders in foster care.  


Exercising significant independence and judgment this position will participate as part of a collaborative, inter-professional team to provide functional assessment and treatment development to treat challenging behaviors, assess skill needs and develop teaching programs to increase critical skills, provide parent-training for both foster and biological parents, and to provide training for support staff.  This position will provide clinical support and/or therapeutic care as assigned. This position shall lead projects and provide supervision of staff.

This position works as a team member in assessing a child/youth/family's needs and is responsible for developing, assessing and modifying the individual service plan in collaboration with the child/youth/family, family and multi-disciplinary treatment team. This position is actively involved in the implementation of a strength-based service plan including site/home visits and assessments, identifying and coordinating collateral resources, assessing strengths  and needs utilizing evidence-based behavioral assessment methods, utilizing the results of assessment to develop treatment and skill-based teaching strategies in coordination with the multi-disciplinary treatment team.  This position utilizes evidence-based assessment and treatment strategies, experience, education, age-specific knowledge and cultural competence in order support the children/youth/families to achieve positive and successful outcomes. This position successfully uses problem-solving skills with self and others. This position ensures HFA policies; procedures and all applicable governmental laws/regulations/guidelines are followed; makes decisions and has authority to implement decisions in conjunction within scope of responsibility. This position will also assist the teams in ensuring services are delivered and compliant with regulating funders organizations.

Qualifications

 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree and ability to supervise other team members, primarily other care coordinators and 3 years relevant work experience; OR must have a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience; AND must regularly perform the care coordinator functions with significant independence and expertise and is relied upon as a resource to guide team performance.  ABA Certification required.  Candidates must have a valid New York State Driver’s License and must meet agency driving and insurance standards.
