Job Title: Department Specialist I

Department: Pharmacy Systems

Location: Boise, Idaho

Purpose of Job:

This position is responsible for support functions within the Pharmacy Systems Department in Boise, ID.  This includes, but is not limited to, performing Tier 2 business support to store teams running ARx, EPS, and PDX Classic, being a liaison to IT support at both the Tier 2 and Tier 3 level, testing ARx  and EPS development releases, and miscellaneous other tasks as assigned by Pharmacy Systems team management.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Customer Service

·         Answer ARx Procedural Questions

·         Troubleshoot Procedural questions vs. Software Errors

·         Performing Tier 2 Business support via direct store calls, call escalations from the Tier 1 help desk, and from other central support areas.

·         Communications with store teams regarding program enhancements.

·         Surveying stores via phone for ARx, EPS, or PDX Classic Support reasons

·         Perform testing on ARx and EPS release cycles

·         Support other central support areas on ARx and EPS functions

 

Specialized Skills:

·         Should  be proficient in the operations of ARx or EPS

·         Problem solving skills

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Familiar with Microsoft Office Tools such as Excel, Word, Power Point, and Access

·         Self Starter

·         Able to multi-task

·         Must provide excellent customer service

·         Should be able to type proficiently (greater than 40 words per minute)

·         Should have a strong interest in IT and related fields

·         Must have a strong understanding of Pharmacy Operations

 

Education/Experience:

·         High School diploma or equivalent, or higher education.

·         Licensed Pharmacy Technician preferred, but training available.

·         Certified Pharmacy Technician, tech specialist preferred, but not required.

·         Knowledge of the ARx or EPS pharmacy application with a minimum of 2 years’ experience is preferred.

·         Applicants with Technical support background may supersede Pharmacy Technician preference.

 

Physical Environment:

·    Should be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20lbs.

·    Must be able to sit or stand for periods of time up to 8 hours.

• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.

• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
• Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
