Administrative Assistant

Mercy Medical Center - Springfield, MA

The Sisters of Providence Health System has an outstanding opportunity for a highly experienced professional administrative assistant who seeks to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.  The Administrative Assistant will have a reporting relationship to three HR department directors and provide administrative support to them in terms of scheduling, correspondence, record keeping, etc. The individual will also provide support to the Chief Human Resources Officer for Trinity Health – New England as needed.  Additionally, the incumbent will have special project work such as coordinating and preparing for the SPHS Annual Service Awards program, the annual Colleague Engagement Survey, and the annual SPHS Holiday celebration.

 

This dynamic and challenging position will provide opportunities for the incumbent to take lead roles in key Health System-wide initiatives and provide for the exercise of administrative skills, organizational skills, and creative outlets.  The incumbent will interact with a variety of levels of colleagues across the Health System from the most senior level executives, to external customers, to members of the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence to new entry-level colleagues. 

 

The successful incumbent will require exceptional skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access.  Prior experience in working in relational data base systems (eg: HRIS) is important.  Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to meet and exceed customer service expectations is required.  Proven discretion and the ability to manage and secure sensitive information is required.  Work requires the completion of an Associate's degree in secretarial/administrative sciences and at least three years of progressively challenging work related experience in a similar field, preferably in healthcare Human Resources. Proven ability to multi-task competing priorities and to meet objectives is required. Bilingual skills in Spanish and English is a plus!
