Assists with the management of clinical, human and other resources within the Operating Room. Functions as a role model. Provides clinical expertise in evaluating the patient population within the unit for assessment, care, discharge and transfer. Provides guidance related to standards of care/practice, policies and procedures, and practice guidelines. Reinforces regulatory standards with staff, physicians and health care providers. Provides direct patient care as needed. Provides feedback to the manager in staff evaluation process. Maintains competence in clinical nursing practice and obtains relevant education.
Ability to read and communicate in the English language. High school graduate or equivalent required. Successful completion from an accredited school of nursing. NJ RN license. BSN preferred. Five years clinical experience in Nursing. Prior management experience preferred. Basic knowledge of performance improvement and regulations specific to the in patient hospital setting. Possesses education skills, knowledge of and ability to use computers, solid human relations skills. BLS, ACLS.
