The Behavioral Health-Advance Practice Nurse, Coordinator is responsible for:
Providing assistance and oversight of the development of clinical initiatives (i.e., behavioral health) at Kennedy and to support similar innovations in the community in collaboration with other healthcare organizations,
Providing clinical oversight of behavioral health staff, as directed,
Providing services to patients in need of assessment, evaluation and clinical care for their mental health and/or chemical addiction related illness(es), in collaboration with the Emergency Department attending physician or other designated credentialed member of the medical staff.
Maintenance of certification in compliance with current state law.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and completed masters or postgraduate certificate nurse practitioner/clinical nurse specialist program.
Experience: High quality of nursing competence and advanced leadership skills. Prior computer experience required with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Certification/Licensure: Current registration with NJ State Board of Nursing. Certified by nationally recognized nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist organization. BLS Certification and Crisis Prevention Institute training provided upon hiring. State of New Jersey Prescriptive privileges. Current NJ CDS/Federal DEA number.
