GENERAL SUMMARY
Plans, organizes and directs the Building Maintenance Program, including buildings and plant equipment. Manages all utilities for the complex. Designs, budgets and constructs both minor and major renovation and building projects. Manages Stratford and Cherry Hill. Oversees compliance with fire & safety regulations as well as Local, State and Federal regulatory standards. Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems, weighs alternative decisions before taking action, and foresees the effects of the decisions.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Bachelor's Degree, CHFM, CHC and PE in Engineering or related field of studies plus a minimum of 10 to 15 years related work experience. (Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.) Must have a strong knowledge of all facets of construction-related activities and maintain expertise with building maintenance techniques, equipment, operation of power plants, plumbing and heating systems, sanitation, refrigeration and electrical systems, along with fire and safety regulations and procedures. Should be familiar with work and limitations of various crafts, particularly licensed.
Understands engineering specifications and is familiar with institutional ordering procedures, cost computations, government regulations and inspection procedures on such equipment as elevators and high-pressure boilers, sanitation/plumbing, State and Local building codes.
