The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing the health status of individuals and groups, establishing nursing diagnoses, identifying and planning goals to meet health care needs, prescribing nursing interventions, implementing the plan of care and evaluating and documenting responses to interventions. The Registered Nurse delegates those interventions which may be performed by others, supervises as appropriate, assists in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care, provides education to patients, families and health professionals and collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of health care.
Graduate of RN accredited program. Preferred: Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg experience. Experience with C-Sections, epidurals, electronic charting, venipuncture proficiency and a minimum of two years experience in an LDRP unit with a delivery rate of 400 a year. Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Vermont. Current BLS Healthcare Provider status. Post Hire Requirements: NRP provider status, BC Epidural/ C-section recovery program, BMH IV certification or demonstrated proficiency, S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring course.
