Digital Marketing Architect

Position Summary
This highly visible and critical role will provide guidance and direction for the entire spectrum of customer-facing digital capabilities, including customer acquisition, on-boarding, account management, and ongoing customer help & support functions. As the world continues to evolve towards a digital-centric paradigm, the necessity for the creation of simple, intuitive, fast, reliable, and constantly improving digital interaction experiences is paramount. This role will be central to shaping both technical and functional aspects of these experiences, with specific focus on identifying the appropriate aggregation of technologies to satisfy numerous functional imperatives, and effectively evangelize technology choices to both business and technical constituents. To be successful, the target candidate will have broad experience and expertise in everything from cloud-based digital marketing strategies/tools to content management platforms to digital analytic engines to social media platforms.

 

Core Responsibilities:

-Define the eBusiness architecture, technology strategy, and implementation standards to support numerous business imperatives
-Define the technology vision and Architecture roadmap for digital marketing capabilities
-Manage the digital marketing technology prototyping, selection, implementation, adoption and maturation within the organization
-Apply and integrate emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture
-Monitor current and future trends in the e-commerce, web, mobile, and digital marketing space that will influence internal software direction in the future
-Collaborate with architects, developers and business partners to design enterprise applications, including design of User Interface (UI) components, internal/external web services, content management (CMS) and database interactions, and 3rd party cloud solutions
-Lead, facilitate, and grow a community of eBusiness architects to build world class solutions
-Create high-level and detailed design artifacts using appropriate tools and technologies
-Interface with peers throughout the enterprise to ensure good communication and alignment with the larger technology organization.
-Ensure projects are envisioned, designed, and implemented using best in class tools & practices
-Ensure digital solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable
-Mentor team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture
-Perform business analysis / requirements analysis with the help of business stakeholders
-Evaluate and manage potential commercial and technical partners
-Operate as a subject matter expert on digital marketing, web analytics and experience management

Qualifications:
-Minimum of 10 years of large scale technology development & delivery experience
-Minimum of 7 years of experience working with management and senior leadership
-5+ years experience architecting and implementing customer-facing digital technologies, with specific focus on digital marketing and customer self-service
-Expert knowledge of the design and implementation patterns supporting custom integrations between Marketing Automation Solutions, CRM Platforms, Content Management Solutions, Analytics, 1st & 3rd Party data, A/B Testing/Optimization, Segmentation, Personalization and technology solutions supporting these capabilities
-Demonstrated understanding of current and emerging web technologies, responding to search algorithm changes, browsers, analytics, data and customer intelligence, and content management systems and processes
-Experience designing/developing mobile web sites & mobile applications (Android, iOS)
-Exposure to Advanced Web Traffic Management technologies (Akamai/DNS/F5/A10)
-Exposure to modern development languages/technologies (ASP.NET, c#, Ruby, Grails, Java, Polymer, Knockout, AngularJS, MVC, JQuery, Node.js, etc.) and associated delivery/deployment technologies
-Experience with high traffic e-commerce and self-service websites
-Ability to understand business and technical context, objectives and constraints
-Must have worked in cross functional and blended teams employees, contractors, customer, onsite/offshore, vendor
-Familiarity with current software design methodologies including agile (scrum) development process
-Experience with continuous delivery and integration tools and processes (TeamCity, TFS, Octopus Deploy)
-Experience in designing & executing content management systems, web content management a plus
-Experience applying multivariant testing, analytics and real-time optimization to develop personalized web experiences
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines; extensive, directly-related experience may be considered in-lieu of degree(s)
