Sr. Consultant I, Shared Services Strategy, GSS

Position Summary:

Drives global projects by determining proper procedures and guidelines for advising on, executing, and documenting organizational practices across multiple countries; understanding the global trends that affect the business; demonstrating and communicating working knowledge of industry best practices and Walmart policies and procedures in business area of expertise; and anticipating issues of concern and being proactive in recommending sustainable solutions in area of expertise.

Influences strategies, processes, and best practices for business area of expertise by conducting modeling and statistical analyses; partnering with cross-functional teams across the business; benchmarking with industry experts through continuous education and use of networks; developing assessments of key opportunities; demonstrating the ability to translate technical solutions into business solutions; supporting the development of long-range plans and project timelines; communicating with and influencing decision-makers and executives within the organization.

Drives accountability to achieve goals within a cross-functional area by developing strong relationships with stakeholders; influencing strategy direction and deliverables; recommending technical and conceptual ideas to establish understanding and acceptance; reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders; and providing specialized consulting throughout life cycle of change initiatives.

Provides guidance to project consultants by sharing/teaching subject matter expertise; mentoring their development as consultants; and providing feedback on their performance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field and 3 years experience in consulting or project management, or related field OR 6 years experience in consulting, project management, or related field.
