The Store Manager in Training (MIT) position has been created to give an individual an accelerated and intense training opportunity in preparation to become a Store Manager. 

 

This position requires a high level of initiative and frequently exercises discretion and independent judgment.  The ultimate goal of the program is to develop a MIT who is ready to become a Store Manager and will eventually take the responsibility of a store location.  The MIT must be willing to relocate to another store after completion of MIT program if necessary.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Working within a training capacity):

  • Monitor and ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Create, manage and execute plans to increase sales and profits
  • Monitor and improve the sales skills of all coworkers
  • Monitor and ensure account management activity in accordance with Focus training and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain the store in Rent Ready condition and keep coworkers informed of promotions and products
  • Set specific goals for store performance, customer satisfaction and coworker development
  • Use the company’s programs to manage coworker including selection, training, motivating, evaluating, coaching and developing people
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all coworkers
  • Manage store performance by reading and analyzing various reports
  • Manage the inventory by ordering, receiving and transferring products to ensure revenue and profit growth
  • Organize and follow-up on all daily activity including scheduling of all coworkers to meet needs of the store
  • Manage and secure the assets of the store
  • Budgeting and pencil profit system
  • Ensure all policies, procedures and standards are followed and adhered to
  • Any other duties assigned by the market manager

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

 

·         3 years of management experience plus a college degree; OR 5 years of management experience

·         Profit and Loss experience

·         Computer literacy/proficiency in a windows operating system

·         Be at least 20 years old

·         Have a valid High-School Diploma or Equivalent

·         Have a Valid driver’s license

·         Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as excellent listening skills

·         Be legally permitted to work in the US
