Position Summary:

Responsibilities:
 

1. Design &Release for FP specific EDS harnesses
   • Direct CAD activity for 3D routing, package, and assembly of FP unique harnesses and EDS content into vehicle programs
   • Release parts as necessary into WERS for FP parts
2. Deliver all components and systems with quality that meet the program function, cost, weight and timing requirements.
   • Responsible for Reliability Check List (RCL)  (Quality Documentation- Boundary Diagram, P-Diagram, DFMEA, etc.) for FP parts and content
3. Collect and manage electrical device transmittals (DT’s)
4. Lead development and delivery of logical schematics so that wire harnesses can be developed.
5. General vehicle level electrical troubleshooting.
6. Support current product production and quality efforts as needed.
7. Support Prototype Build PAT’s and M1/VP build events
8. Support Breadboard delivery, vehicle reworks/part upgrades
9. Support Part Shortage, AIMS,  and other build support meetings
10. Support Production Launches for FP programs
    1. Currently, 2 vehicle programs have local assembly plants in Southeast MI
11. Support AIMS resolution, Drive Fleet Evaluations, and other Launch Activities
12. Support Supplier visits as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:
 

1. BSEE or Engineering Degree
2. 3+ years Electrical Design and Release experience as an EDS Engineer.

 
 
Desired Qualifications:
 

1. 1+ year experience with vehicle level electrical systems design and development process.
2. 3+ years Launch Experience Preferred
3. 2+ years working with Ford GPDS system
4. 3+ years Launch Experience
5. Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferred
6. 2+ years experience in WERS, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
7. Positive attitude willing to work in an exciting, fast paced environment on exciting new Performance Products
