Responsible for participating in project teams, researching technical topics related to Company operations, new product implementation,
assisting with existing products and services, and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Performs event
correlation and identifies probable root cause; provides trouble isolation, basic troubleshooting, and break/fix activities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assists in the risk assessment, quality, and scope management of deployment project plans.
- Responsible for the racking and stacking of equipment within the Data Center.
- Responsible for the operational inventory of all Data Center equipment in Aperture
- Installs, maintains and troubleshoots all Data Center cabling and infrastructure.
- Manages Data Center cable running lists, and records of deployed equipment.
- Supervises the maintenance and repair of all facilities systems and hardware.
- Ensure all equipment is labeled in compliance with DCM standards
- Maintain copper, fiber and power cord inventory
- Monitor security within the data center and raised floor environment
- Interfaces with vendors to maintain, troubleshoot and install related equipment.
- Monitors and optimizes Data Center power utilization, HVAC utilization and related requirements.
- Continued focus on streamlining Methods and Procedure for equipment deployment and implementation.
- Some direction required for job duties and high performance
- Knowledge and experience of providing Tier I IT support.
- Some travel required
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Equivalent
- Generally requires 0-2 years related experience
Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience in deployment and installation of switches, routers and servers
- Experience in High Speed Data, Voice, IP and Data Networking.
- Diverse knowledge of HVAC dynamics.
- Basic knowledge of all current types of networking and server hardware.
- Demonstrated experience documenting policies and procedures.
- Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work with vendors, employees and management.
- Good personal computer skills.

Skills Required:
- Technical skills relative to HSD and Voice network engineering, planning and management including experience with IP routers, switches and MTS equipment
- Server administration (i.e. Unix, Linux and Windows platforms)
- Understanding of AC/DC power configurations and HVAC related thermal architecture
- Data Center planning and engineering
- Solid abilities using Microsoft Office
- Proven analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
