Business Development Manager - Advanced Tiltrotor Systems
The Business Development Manager seeks out and develops new business opportunities for Bell Helicopter/Textron. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the development, engagement and shaping of new US military business opportunities for Bell Helicopter’s Advanced Tiltrotor Systems, leading to contract award. Primary focus areas are Redstone Arsenal and Huntsville, AL.
Participate in Campaign Teams responsible for capture of new business: a. Develop responses to USG Requests for Information (RFI's). b. Lead Cross-Functional proposal teams through the acquisition process. c. Develop Win-Strategies, Price to Win, Risk Analysis/Mitigation Plans, Partnering Strategies. d. Develop and lead gate reviews for assigned pursuits/opportunities.
Manage Customer Relationships with key DoD customers: a. Develop and execute executive engagement plan at all levels of DoD. b. Shape requirements for USG that align with Bell Products and Services. c. Own key military strategies/messages and One Voice for customers and Bell/Textron executives.
Interface with Bell Helicopter USG Programs/CSS/Engineering/Industrial Operations/Commercial Sales and Marketing leadership.
Interface with Washington DC, Textron Office on Corporate Strategies, DoD Budgets, QDR, Pentagon, TRADOC, Theater Commands and Congressional visits.
Represent Bell at key trade shows and events, such as AAAA and AUSA, to continue to promote the Bell brand and Bell products and services; supporting Bell interests within DoD.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration - or related discipline - is required.
Master's Degree is preferred.
Position Requirements:
- 15 years experience as a Pilot in Army Aviation is preferred. - Business Development, Marketing & Sales or Program Management experience is preferred.
- DoD Decision Support Systems, including, the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System, the Defense Acquisition System, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) Process experience is required. - Candidate must be a results-oriented professional with strong strategic planning skills. - Strong oral and written communication skills are required. - Experience as a US Army Acquisition Professional is preferred.
- Doctrinal and requirements developer experience preferred.
- Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Army and/or Joint Staff experience is preferred.
