Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments.
Tracks materials, tools and equipment and performs order fulfillment processes on multiple programs.
Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Marks materials with identifying information.
Pulls and distributes materials, tools, or other stock items in order to fill technician requests.
Prepares merchandise for shipment as required.
Moves and lifts materials, supplies, related stock and equipment weighing up to a maximum of 75 pounds.
Maintains accurate inventory records through the use of a computerized inventory system.
Completes requisition forms to order additional equipment and supplies.
Sorts all waste including trash, recycling, cardboard and electronics as required.
Works on a job where a high degree of accuracy is required.
Works independently with little supervision.
Drives Company vehicle.
Loads Company trucks with tools and equipment; drives to other Company garages and storerooms; and refills installation, repair and line trucks with stock supplies.
Receives returned goods from the field, appraises them, and determines if they should be returned to the supplier or put back in stock.
Collects and sorts packages, records and supplies. Prepares merchandise for shipment as required.
Operates power-driven material handling equipment.
Handles a variety of clerical and record-keeping duties.
Performs work involving kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling or other uncomfortable positions. Requires standing for long periods of time.
Wears safety equipment and follows established safety practices and procedures. Must be able to safely utilize equipment resources to perform specified physical job duties and satisfy manufacturer’s specifications for operation or use of equipment including weight limitations.
Qualifications
On-the-job and/or classroom training as required. May be away from home location.
Satisfactory performance and attendance in present job.
Satisfactory background investigation, including driving record.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicle with manual shift in some assignments.
Must have knowledge of federal and state DOT rules and regulations.
May be required to meet DOT rules and regulations, including DOT certifications and drug testing.
May require valid state driver’s license, commercial license or chauffeur’s license.
Ability to perceive differences in color.
General Working Conditions
Work various scheduled tours including day, evening and night covering Sunday through Saturday with overtime, call-outs and holiday work as required. Tour length will be 8 hours.
Work in storerooms, warehouses, and storage lots and outside in all kinds of weather.
Working in an environment that may not be heated or air conditioned.
Lift and move loads up to 75 pounds.
Maintain a maximum weight limit of 325 pounds dressed in working clothes.
Perform work requiring a lot of kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling or other uncomfortable positions and standing for long periods of time.
Pass a job-related physical examination.
Additional factors to be considered
Previous satisfactory driving experience with large type vehicles.
Previous operating experience with power forklift trucks.
