Senior Inventory Planner

Walmart - SAN BRUNO, CA

Position Summary:

• Deliver maximum product availability in the Super Department within budgeted inventory targets through effective end-to-end management of the supply chain
• Drive system/process improvements in working with vendors on order management, vendor operations, and inventory management
• Implement governance and financial controls for Order Management, especially for one-time buys
• Manage vendors expanding selection, promotions, and optimum sourcing recommendations
• Be a leader beyond the category by providing functional requirements to the technology team as they work to continuously improve buying systems and processes necessary for efficiency and growth

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional experience in replenishment operations and inventory planning
• At least 2 year experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Must have a proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced and ambiguous online environment
• Possesses strong analytical and numerical skills with strong experience of SQL and Excel, including Macros, V-Lookups and Pivot Tables
• An effective communicator working with some of Walmart’s most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and teams1`
• Experience in partnering with technology teams to build automated and scalable tools
• Experience in driving process improvement through Kaizen or Six Sigma
• University degree required, ideally in a technical or analytical discipline
• MBA preferred
