Key Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring an even flow of outbound paint and resin shipments to customers and other company facilities throughout the world. Customer service is a high priority in this very busy shipping office. Ensures delivery and loading schedules are met by ordering transportation services and equipment -- trucking and air transport. Enters all types of shipments on Bill of Lading for invoicing. Ensures all DOT regulations are followed. Will be required to work overtime on an as needed basis.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
2 years previous experience in a shipping office performing bill of lading and other shipping paperwork in an automated shipping function. Must have strong communication skills, be a team player, be very detailed oriented, have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and be proficient with PC software including Microsoft Office and shipping software.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
