As our AP Inventory Planning Team Manager you will provide leadership for a team of analysts who facilitate the twice-monthly apparel and equipment delivery planning processes. You will be responsible for all facets of team leadership, including hiring, coaching, performance management, goal setting, and strategic planning. You will also play a key leadership role across the greater US Inventory Management organization.
In this role, you will proactively seek out ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of current processes to align with the changing needs of our business stakeholders and customers. You will drive the implementation of sustainable best practices that assist in achieving business targets.
You will regularly collaborate with Global and US Planning team members to leverage learning’s, and to ensure process consistency. You will also partner with colleagues to drive effective communication and interactions between team members to drive strong business results. You will seek ways to improve communication across all business stakeholders to ensure message clarity and efficiency.
You will frequently provide leadership representation on relevant geography-based and global projects. You will use your strong communication skills to articulate and advocate the business case for US Inventory teams. You will interact with senior leadership team members to share information and report key findings.
Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or related field and 2 years additional work experience in lieu of degree.
5 years of experience in supply chain, retail, inventory planning or analyst based environment.
Provide consistent & positive individual and team leadership to Inventory Planning team members.
Motivate and inspire the team on a daily basis through regular touch bases and conversations. Ensure team members are aware of their individual strengths and opportunities. Regularly provide encouragement and constructive feedback.
Build and achieve consensus when discussing and presenting opportunities.
Provide leadership and participate on key global and geography projects as assigned.
Have understanding of key tools (SAP, Event Manager, Brio/Hyperion, Cognos, Winshuttle, and Apparel PPS)
Utilize and advocate for LEAN methodology (as applicable) through problem-solving and process improvement activities.
Proficient in Excel, word, outlook and powerpoint, SAP, JBA
