Decision Science Director - Global Consumer Knowledge

Nike’s Global Consumer Knowledge Center of Excellence is a growing team responsible for building and deepening a holistic view of Nike’s consumers through data and analytics, and applying those insights to inform the development of incredible digital and physical services and experiences for our consumers.
We are looking for an innovative and experienced expert in the synthesis and application of consumer analytics to join our Center of Excellence and Consumer Decision Science team and partner directly with our New York City Team. You’ll be empowered to identify opportunities to implement consumer knowledge to influence decision-making on city plans and to translate analytics and insights into action across the digital ecosystem and retail marketplace. This position is based at our office in New York City.
The ideal candidate will have a history of developing creative and effective ways of integrating and sharing consumer analytics and insights and the vision and leadership skills to partner with key business stakeholders within Nike’s fast-paced high-priority NYC business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Synthesizing and translating complex findings into curated, relevant, and useful deliverables • Partnering with Nike NYC leaders to understand priorities and develop capabilities and analytics to drive improved business decision making • Implementing Consumer Knowledge capabilities to drive innovation across the business • Developing best practices to identify critical business stakeholders, develop KPI reporting timing and cadence, and evaluate the impact of brand marketing through comprehensive analytics and insights
Education: • Background in a related field such as statistics, econometrics, applied math, or behavioral sciences research • Advanced degree in a quantitative or research field a plus
• At least 10 years experience in applied analytics, digital marketing and commerce, or consumer insights and strategy • Deep experience with applying analytics to digital marketing, ecommerce, retail or digital product development • A background in the production of applied analytics or customer research in the context of data-driven digital marketing, digital advertising technology, digital commerce or physical retail • Experience managing business relationships and processes across multiple complex business units in a fast-paced setting Required Skills: • A history of excellence and innovation in synthesizing complex findings, data visualization and storytelling, and client presentation and partnerships • A good understanding of applied statistics including sampling approaches, causal modeling, time series analysis, and data mining techniques • Ability to successfully manage a portfolio of large research projects with multiple business stakeholders in a fast moving setting with ambiguous requirements • Deep experience managing multiple business priorities and executive stakeholders in an ambiguous and rapidly growing organizational setting
