Training Manager

US Foods Inc. - Rosemont, Chicago Metro

Provide sales training, coaching and mentoring to newly hired Territory Managers, sales managers and other sales related staff using US Foods sales process, tools, curriculum and materials.

 

Assess and diagnose sales performance gaps for new hires and recommend practical, timely and effective solutions to close those gaps. 

 

Perform assessments to ensure sales professionals and leaders are assimilating and applying new knowledge and skills.  Provide immediate and direct feedback to improve performance.

 

Communicate with area / market sales management regarding development needs based on performance levels of new hires.

 

Assist in evaluating sales candidates by participating in the interview process as required.  

 

Share selling skills recommendations and tools to enable the sales force to best utilize available resources. 

 

Travel – up to 70% required to deliver and support on-boarding training programs.

Education/Training:  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Education or Business Management, or equivalent experience required. 

 

Related Experience:  A minimum of five years of sales or sales training experience required (foodservice industry or related preferred).

·         Possess strong selling knowledge and skills

·         Demonstrates strong communication skills and professional credibility to influence sales leaders and professionals

·         Exceptional platform delivery and facilitation skills - ability to deliver training programs from existing materials and teach sales-related training modules

·         Ability to prioritize time and resources for maximum impact on sales performance

·         Demonstrated success in recommending learning solutions to drive sales results

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Must be proficient with US Foods software platforms and Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
