In this role your work will shape the strategic roadmap and innovation priorities for digital products at Target by making data, analytics, and A/B testing a key part of the digital product development lifecycle.
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for the following:
Define success metrics for products by partnering with product managers to ensure metrics are aligned across products and platforms
Provide reliable and uniform set of evaluation metrics; support light engineering work to automate and/or pull data from multiple sources
Provide complete A/B test support to products including test design, success metrics, analysis, and test result delivery
Provide forward-looking statistical analysis to assess future investment opportunities, communicate insights clearly, and partner with product teams to translate insights to action.
Develop an in-depth understanding of products (architecture, features, UX, roadmap)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education Expectations: 4 year degree or equivalent (Masters or Ph.D. a plus) Degree: Math or Stats degree is preferred, other majors could include Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Psychology, or technology-related field or commensurate work experience Job Related Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience
