Perform a technical engineering leadership role on various projects within Finance platform

Create solutions that will build and operate on a scale that supports Target’s key strategies

Design, develop, test and deploy software using multiple development technologies and methodologies

Drive Engineering design throughout the project and platform life-cycle

Ensure architectural, infrastructure, operational, and security requirements are met

Participate in lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of platforms, applications and infrastructure services

Diagnose, isolate and de-bug software problems and perform problem resolution

Drive standards and best practices while collaborating with the team to promote re-use and develop consistent technical build processes

Drive technical quality, stability and scalability of solutions

Generate and preserve intellectual property associated with Finance applications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation from requirement to production
- Strong problem solving and thought: partnership skills
- Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work with a limited set of requirements
- Team attitude
- Good verbal and written communication skills
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
- BS degree in computer science or equivalent
- eCommerce experience with a track record of innovation
- Extensive experience working in an agile environment (i.e. user stories, iterative development, etc.)
- Working with test-driven development and software test automation
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong willingness to learn
- Hands-on experience in agile software development using Java/J2EE, Spring Batch Framework, Restful services, Tomcat, Automated and Performance Testing
- Demonstrated experience with a technology like Chef, Drone, Docker, Jenkins, Camel, or virtual technologies such as Open Stack, cloud/SaaS solutions and continuous delivery
- Database knowledge including SQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Exposure to reporting tools such as Domo, Greenfield, SAP Reporting Options (BOBJ, Webi, IDT)
