JOIN US AS A SENIOR MANAGER – First Mile Domestic Transportation Team
About This Opportunity
The Senior Manager is responsible for leading the First Mile Domestic Transportation team. This team is responsible for all, “we-pay,” movement within the Target supply chain, including Consolidation, LTL, Air, TL and IM into our Target Distribution Centers, (RDC’s, FC’s, UDC’s). They will lead the team to delivery on all key KPI’s for carrier, facility and budget. As well as support all future supply chain initiatives within the network. They will have direct leadership over the Senior Analysts that support this operations.

Team Leadership
- Accurately assess team and coach and develop analysts to achieve their potential. Motivate team to deliver high performance and build on their current skill sets
- Provide clear communication and direction to team connecting to shared vision, strategy and values
- Lead team through supply chain transformation and future initiatives
Operational Execution
- Responsible for all General Merchandising First Mile Domestic KPI’s. (Carrier, Facilities, Budget)
- Build strong partnerships with Carriers, 3PL’s, and key teams within the supply chain
- Drive continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain tying back to our supply chain vision
- Lead execution of future supply chain initiatives
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 4 year degree
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in leadership role – direct reports
- 5 years operational background in Supply Chain or Transportation
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict; ability to provide feedback and develop other leaders
