Facilities Specialist (Government)

AT&T - COLUMBIA, Maryland

The facilities associate is responsible for assisting in the management of the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities. The position plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs.

• Will assist in the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
• Plans budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates. Inspects construction and installation progress.
• Initiates planned maintenance programs for a variety of office equipment. Manages the receiving function.
• Manages preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and office equipment.
• Manages the telecommunication function.
• Oversees the parking program.
• Oversees the cleaning and maintenance of facility.
• Develops and administers the annual budget.

The Facilities manager shall have fourteen (14) years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. A master’s degree is equivalent to 6 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience and an associate’s degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience. The degree must be in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Experience must be in construction management and/or facilities management. Shall have knowledge and experience negotiating service contracts and a proven ability to analyze problems and make appropriate decisions when in an urgent situation.

Required Clearance: Candidate must have a TS/SCI polygraph clearance

Desired: Project Management experience is desired
