With over 900 retail centers in North America, we continue to grow.  Currently we are seeking a Pricing Strategy Analyst to join our team.  Within our stores channel, we sell a wide range of architectural coatings and sundry items to industry, builders, contractors, and home owners.  Experienced and entry level candidates are welcome to apply!  Join a leading team today! 

 

The Pricing Strategy Analyst will be responsible for the performing detailed analysis necessary to update and maintain price lists, make recommendations and implement changes in the stores business.  This includes the general list price, Market Group Price Lists (MGPL) and other strategic price lists.  The analyst will be responsible for driving pricing strategy execution to gain margin, increase pricing accuracy, reduce overrides, and increasing customer confidence.  These all ultimately contribute to PPG sales growth and profitability.

 

Expectations for this role include: 

• Drive, communicate and champion the pricing strategy

• Proactively maintain MGPLs for products and pricing using data, market intelligence and price point logic

• Work with marketing to update list price aligning with strategy, “One PPG” focus, and competitive comparisons

• Assist markets in strategy execution, providing guidance for increasing MGPL usage and Shop quote reduction

• Work with the Pricing Manager to make recommendations for change based on insights and learnings

• Develop and communicate meaningful reporting to measure execution success

• Learn and understand the pricing system and actively participate in enhancements

• General pricing support

Experience and Education: 

• Bachelor's degree, finance, accounting or an analytics based field

• 10 years of relevant experience

• Demonstrated comfort with making decisions in a fast-paced environment with insufficient information 
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and an ability to aggregate, manipulate and interpret disparate sources of data
• Experience with Cognos and Hyperion Essbase preferred
• Customer focused individual who believes in ensuring promises are delivered upon and can foster a climate of trust and cooperation with colleagues and customers
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and present conclusions in a clear and concise manner
• Strong attention to detail
• The ideal candidate will be a change agent & posses strong analytical skills
• Good communication skills and professional demeanor
