Furniture Installer
Summary:
The Furniture Installer position requires the personnel to provide support for PC, monitors and phones during workspace relocations and new employee relocations. In addition, provide furniture support services for Move-Add-Changes which will require working with the Move Coordinator to review, deliver and install furniture. Drawings are typically provided to guide the Furniture Installation team in setting up furniture as intended by the Move Coordinator.
Essential Duties/Requirements:
- Familiarity with basic computer and telephone installation
- Familiarity with basic IT and furniture troubleshooting to escalate issues
- Review CAD plans to understand configuration requirements
- Use tools to assemble and disassemble furniture
- Ability to execute direction, working with a team or independently
- Review furniture recommendations to ensure that all installs meet the customer requirements and comply with established safety policies
- As required, work directly with the customer to troubleshoot any furniture issues or provide ergonomic accommodations
- Responsible for reporting standards discrepancies and safety concerns
- Be present for project follow up to address IT connectivity and/or furniture issues/adjustments working towards immediate resolution. If immediate resolution is not possible, identify escalation path for quickest resolution.
- Previous experience working with systems furniture, certification a plus
- Previous experience in a professional environment
- Previous experience with computer and phone disconnect, reconnect, and/or troubleshooting
- Effective verbal and written communication
- A flexible and adaptable self starter with strong customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks with little to no supervision
- Must be able to work outside of normal business hours
- Must be able to spend a significant time walking, bending, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs
