Metrology/Utilities/Scheduler Planner

Position Summary:

The Pipette/Metrology/Utilities/Scheduler Planner is responsible for providing planning for Planned/Corrective/General Maintenance activities for equipment in GxP and non GxP area’s at Amgen:

  • Research Pipettes at Amgen GFO sites (ABC, AMA, ASF, ATO and AWA)
  • AAE development and work order administration functions for Metrology operations based in ATO
  • Central Utilities based in ATO, including plant steam, compressed air, RO/DI and chilled water systems
 
OVERVIEW
  • Identification and development of work plans and the correct labor required to complete job.
  • Determines data sheets used in calibrations.
  • Determines and plans for the required routine and critical spare parts with help from the system owner or other subject matter experts (SME).
  • Responsible for all Pipette and Metrology related Work Orders, Job Plans and Data Sheets.  This includes the development and revisions of Job Plans and Data Sheets in the CMMS system - Maximo.
  • Performs the preparations and final data review of all Asset Administrative Entry Work Orders relating to Metrology and Pipette equipment ensuring their accuracy and making corrections as required prior to entry/update in Maximo.
  • Ensures that all compliance related conditions and SOP’s are followed.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for addressing the needs of all Pipette and Metrology work orders including routing for scheduling and execution
  • AAE - processing (spreadsheet development and data entry)
  • CM, CMCAL, GM and GMCAL - activities (attaching data sheets/job plans and routing)
  • PM and PMCAL – generation and cancelling work orders
  • Effectively assigns and routes all Pipette and Metrology related work orders to ensure the most efficient utilization of ISP resources while meeting expected KPI’s.
  • Schedules work orders. 
  • Works closely with the entire non-JLL technical support team and JLL technical staff to ensure that all work done at the site by work orders is safely and properly input, scheduled, and closed out to meet all contracted performance requirements.
  • Be proficient in and perform work as needed to include, but not limited to: CMMS Maximo data entry and management; preventative maintenance scheduling; corrective maintenance and general maintenance planning and coordination; using maintenance libraries; visit job sites for work order clarification; confer with work order requestors as required; review and prioritize work orders.
  • Maintain workload backlog

  • Maintain equipment history
  • Physically inspect the job location and equipment, confirm the scope of the work, planned crafts and crew size, availability of materials and quantities, availability of specialized tools and equipment.  Identify safety hazards as part of the scheduling process and assist in the incorporation of remediation of such hazards to ensure that the building’s staff and occupants work in a safe environment. Implement, administer, and manage safety training program for staff
  • Assist the Facilities Manager, Chief Engineers and Schedulers to ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines as they relate to the work being planned. Alert management regarding any safety concerns.
  • Manage and update schedule daily with break-ins. Schedule for unplanned work. Co-ordinate central craft/cross module work.
  • Responsible for ensuring Data Integrity of all work order information.
  • Ensure quality requirements for maintenance service(s) are met for equipment with a Level 1 classification whether provided by Jones Lang LaSalle or its subcontractors.  Comply with all Client procedures and practices and obtain written approval to contract out work on Level 1 equipment from Client prior to starting work.
 
EXPERIENCE
  • 2 – 5 years of experience working with Pipette in a Research or Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Pipette devices and the associated testing requirements, as well as an understanding on the use of the equipment.
  • Instrumentation/Pipette maintenance/calibration background working with in a GxP, non-GxP or other regulated environment.
  • Advanced knowledge working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System for Instrumentation.
  • Experience with Maximo.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a research or manufacturing environment.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic maintenance planning principles and a detailed knowledge of Pipette calibrations, as related to manufacturing and research environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization including outside contractors/vendors and engineers.
 
HOURS
  • Works on-call, weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.
