Position Summary:

OVERVIEW
JLL is seeking a National Director to join our global Data & Information Management organization.   We are seeking an experienced data management professional that is a self-starter who has worked in a diverse and fast-paced environment that can join our team, immediately.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for leading and directing a team of data and information management professionals located across multiple markets to deliver actionable data and insight to the business.
  • Develop relationships with key senior business stakeholders to establish objectives, requirements and cadence of D&IM initiatives to increase revenue, enhance client experience and optimize cost.
  • Develops data and information management strategies to support assigned units within the organization.
  • Coordinates, leads and manages the delivery of data and information management solutions to satisfy business needs, while ensuring alignment with global data strategies, policies and standards.
  • Develops the team, information infrastructure, and data management processes to move the organization to a more sophisticated, agile and robust target state data architecture.
  • Develops data management processes and infrastructure to efficiently source and integrate multiple internal / external data sources to increase the value of the data to the organization.
  • Recruits, develops and manages a team of Information Management professionals.  Manages team performance to effectively deliver data and information support to the business.
  • Responsible for career development and talent management of GDIM teams.
  • Interfaces with internal colleagues and external professionals to determine requirements, anticipate future needs, and identify areas of opportunity to drive data development.
  • Interfaces with Senior Management stakeholders to establish GDIM priorities, communicate progress and facilitate issue resolution in alignment with business objectives.
  • Develops data management processes to reduce complexity, improve data quality, and increase efficiency throughout the information management lifecycle.
  • Works with the business and IT to implement standard data operating procedures, data quality standards, and data privacy/security requirements.
  • Partners with IT and business colleagues to migrate the business to JLL strategic solutions, ensuring business continuity throughout the migration.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a solid quantitative discipline in science, business, or social science.
  • Advanced degree, preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in the fields of information science, data management and/or computer science.
  • Extensive experience in data architecture, data integration/ETL, data warehousing, and business intelligence deployed in a complex environment.
  • Experience in building and managing a virtual team of multi-cultural information management professionals.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data modelling, database design and database administration.
  • Understanding of the basic fundamentals of software development lifecycle processes and procedures.
  • Ability to scope, plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent project management and technical skills.
  • Ability to recruit and develop individuals with technically sophisticated skillsets.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and gain consensus amongst a diverse set of stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated capacity for strategic and creative thinking.
