Principal Solution Architect – Enterprise Architecture, Nike Technology

As a Principal Solution Architect, you will be part of a highly visible, strategic team focused on aligning strategic objectives with tactical demands. You will deliver a blueprint of the enterprise that provides a common understanding of the processes required to run the business.

This role will engage, collaborate and partner with various functional leaders, technical leaders and executive stakeholders to understand long and short term business strategies, provide thought leadership and engage in proactive planning of an executable business capability roadmap addressing the strategic & tactical business priorities & challenges and intended business outcomes and values. This role will also be responsible for helping to establish the practice of Enterprise Architecture within Nike and will bring broad experiences in driving quality & consistency across business architecture methodology and deliverables enterprise wide.

Solution Architect, Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with Domain subject matter experts (business & technology) and business architects to develop level 2/3 domain architecture roadmaps and plans 
  • Understands, communicates, and is an advocate for local business and technology needs across all global Markets
  • Partners with global and geography leaders to ensure technology alignment
  • Provides technology guidance and insight to various business & technology Domain leaders
  • Ensures architecture alignment across domains and enabling functions (verticals and horizontals) 
  • Leads domain solution architecture initiatives
  • Develops solution architecture approaches are consistent and developed based on domain roadmaps, reference architectures and enterprise platforms
  • Provides expert technical advice to domain delivery team
Qualifications
Requirements for the Position include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Information Management
  • 7 years in technology architect roles 
  • 3 years as lead architect
  • 10 years in hands-on software engineering
  • 2 years working with cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of key relevant business areas
  • Strong understanding of consumer goods marketing and sales lifecycles
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Strong influencing skills 
  • Experience working in large global organizations
