Sr. Compensation Consultant

As a Sr. Compensation Consultant with Nike, you will work with our Total Rewards Base Pay Team to provide comprehensive analytical support for the design and management of our Base Pay Program. This position requires strong project management and stakeholder management to develop, design, manage our global Base Pay Programs. These program elements include, survey management, global job architecture, global pay structures, global merit budget and focal review events and other compensation projects. This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience consulting compensation and solving complex problems while taking a new perspective using existing solutions. This role will also closely partner on business specific projects as it relates to Base Pay. Being able to partner with several cross functional teams is essential.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 5-7 years progressively responsible experience directly consulting on compensation related work, or 2 additional years in lieu of a degree. 
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent project management and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, as well as compensation-specific applications
  • Advanced level knowledge of trends and developments in compensation, including relevant legal issues
  • Ability to work autonomously with little daily guidance
  • Able to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members when needed
  • Has developed conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline
  • Ability to explain difficult issues and work to build consensus
  • Capable of making decisions within guidelines and policies
  • Impacts a range of standard and non-standard customer, operational, process, project or service activities
  • Is accountable for small projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Monitors and controls costs of own work and may manage costs for small projects or programs
  • Performs work in support of brand plans; demonstrates link between daily work and company mission; participates in initiatives, 
  • programs or products with moderate visibility
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ensures actions protect company image and limits risks
