Sr Compliance Manager

Position Summary:

Purpose:

To further develop a simplified, aligned, integrated and consistent approach to governance, risk management and operational compliance.  Such program shall further identify and avoid conflicts, wasteful overlaps and gaps.   This program shall result in:

 

  • Improved effective and efficient service delivery to our client
  • Stronger connections in operational compliance (connecting existing tools, people, processes, etc.)
  • Increased level of compliance with client, JLL and regulations
  • Increased risk identification and mitigation
  • Reduced reactive responses to risk
  • Reduced losses related to risks and issues
 
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and improve the on account risk and compliance program. Develop procedures, tools and templates for Risk and Compliance team members to execute the program.
  • Interface with the account platform center of excellence and regional field service teams to collect information necessary to monitor team’s compliance with General Services Agreement (GSA), JLL policies and regulations. Identify and monitor high level operational risk.
  • Conduct ongoing account level and service level compliance audits working with on account resources in order to formulate recommended solutions and implement controls for the business
  • Manage high severity account issues to ensure proper documentation, remediation including procedural updates and training to mitigate future events. Conduct audits to ensure sustainment of remediation efforts.
  • Develop and deliver on account risk management and compliance training to mitigate risks; develop and communicate risk and compliance case studies, we well as, newsletter articles to reinforce risk and compliance knowledge across the account
  • Conduct contract reviews, drafting, and risk analysis. Review and analyze internal contracts and Statements of Work to ensure the terms comply with legal, guidelines, contracting principles, cost constraints as well as with corporate and client procedures.
  • Facilitate all phases of contract management including, responding to internal  inquires pertaining to interpretation of contracts and modifications of existing contracts
  • Conduct a risk assessment of change requests
  • Develop account risk reports and assist platforms in mitigating risks falling outside of threshold tolerances
  • Support team in legal and risk related issues, including general liability claims and costly errors.  Liaison with corporate legal and risk.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
               
 

 
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting/Business or related field
  • Minimum of eight to ten years of risk management and/or external or internal audit experience
  • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Ability to communicate and engage at all levels of management and field personnel
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • Legal and commercial real estate industries experience a plus.
