Position Purpose:


This position performs a variety of clerical pharmacy tasks, which primarily includes telephone contact with customers, Veterinarian offices and partners within the Customer Service Center. Additional responsibilities include entering prescription data into our pharmacy entry system. 


Essential Job Functions:

The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.

 

  • Answers calls through the UCCX system managing a call volume and answer speed consistent with established goals.
  • Interact professionally and effectively with all areas of the pharmacy department and veterinary offices. This includes but is not limited to the ability to communicate in both verbal and written form to expedite the prescription order process.
  • Interact professionally with customers via phone or e-mail contact. Interactions will address order concerns, missing or incorrect information, verifications and conveying veterinarian responses to prescription requests.
  • The position requires the ability to multi-task as various tasks may at times need to be addressed simultaneously. Tasks may need to be modified occasionally in order to accomplish necessary goals.
  • The partner will be required to Processes direct entry of received prescription data with 99% accuracy and within departmental average in monitoring standards.
  • The partner will work on reports, send and sort faxes, analyze and address order concerns and other related duties to ensure efficient handling of prescriptions and related orders.
  • Responds to customer inquiries on price, product availability, prescription order process, shipping options and charges, ship date, order status and billing.
  • Demonstrates core company values to effectively interact with partners at various levels.

Work Environment:


Job duties are performed in a typical environmentally controlled office environment with little or no exposure to external hazards.  Physical requirements include:

  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30lbs
  • Capable of talking, listening, sitting and/or standing for the majority of the work day based on assigned task

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired.
  • Prior pharmacy work experience is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and basic math skills
  • Proficient Data Entry Skills required
  • Basic computer knowledge, knowledge of Microsoft office and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to customer questions and complaints
