The System Administrator Support position will provide day-to-day assistance to the customer with information development and management processes necessary to enable senior level decision making by managing and coordinating the administrative activities to support a Microsoft Server and Windows based computer network.
This includes coordinating hardware and software installations and upgrades. Monitor system performance and capacity and perform system back-ups as required.
Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and take appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain software license management.
Assist in the provisioning of enterprise-level network management, optimized communications and defensive measures at the Air Force Information Network (AFIN) gateways.
Implement and enforce all USAF Information Assurance policies and procedures.
Maintain IT asset management accounts.
4 years experience with Microsoft Windows based servers and computers. Knowledge should include proficient knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2003 or later release, Microsoft Server 2003 or later release, Active Directory, and Windows XP and later computer operating systems. Must obtain or maintain Network certification within 3 months of task start and then comply with all IAT Level-II certification requirements.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI (must have held TS/SCI position within the previous two years.)
Desired: Recent experience working in USAF classified environments.
