Director, Engineering

Position Summary:
• Lead cross functional teams that build solutions to enable sophisticated automation and workflows by implementing cutting edge models and algorithms that operate on massive amounts of data
• Lead the design and development of high performance and scalable solutions Help the team leverage and contribute to open source technologies
• Make impact on a global scale
• Recruit and inspire great talent
• Work closely with business stakeholder is a key part of this role.
Qualifications:
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of solid hands-on technical understanding and grasp of technologies for the Web environment
• Experience with building large scale eCommerce systems
• Experience in similar roles at prominent Internet companies, with detailed knowledge about scaling issues and solutions
• Strong leadership skills in managing teams of engineers/managers
• Ability to initiate cross-function collaboration with PMs, Business and Development
