Department Specialist Sr. - Pricing - Shaw\'s - West Bridgewater, MA

Purpose

Utilize pricing policies, marketplace and competitive data to implement pricing recommendations for assigned categories. Support Pricing Manager and Merchandising in maintaining pricing strategy for the company. 

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Reviews and compares information/data and makes determination within defined guidelines, parameters, and instruction
• Validates and implements pricing recommendations to achieve targeted competitiveness and respond to any discrepancies.
• Coordinate pricing efforts with merchants to maintain the current position or future expectations for each assigned category.
• Examines and prioritizes documents to determine work to be completed or best course of action.
• Monitor compliance with state guidelines for regulated items.
• Setup and maintain item relationships for brand and size comparisons.
• Work proactively to prevent item relationship and retail errors stemming from changes in size, brand, cost or authorizations
• Responds to inquiries that require specialized knowledge of the function to respond
• Researches and interprets a variety of levels of information
• Performing various other related tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Access and Excel
• Must be detail oriented, highly organized, able to meet deadlines, and work with confidential information
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
