Lead Java Engineer - Stores Replenishment and Fulfillment

Stores Replenishment and Fulfillment build the applications used by our team members in the stores to serve both our in-store and online guests. Our collection of products are undergoing an evolution as we modernize our supply-chain. We are building a flexible and scalable foundation removing the technical debt that limits our progression.
Our teams focus their attention on green field development building new processes and technology to enable our future as an organization. Our product teams are full-stack so our teams are empowered to design from the cloud to the code including the CI/CD pipeline, automation, back-end services, database and client UI. We develop products using micro-services based architecture. We leverage modernized open source technologies, design and architecture principles. We are looking for individuals to provide hands-on leadership creating and EXECUTING on these patterns.

- Guide technical design activities to ensure design intent is clear and infrastructure impact understood
- Resolve hardware, operational, infrastructure and application incidents
- Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve routine problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability
- Collaborate with team to promote re-use and develop consistent technical build, implementation and support processes
- Lead the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of platforms, applications and infrastructure services
- Work with IT management and architects to ensure systems are in line with overall IT policies and standards

- Designs, develops and unit test software or implements and test infrastructure components that meet functional and non-functional activities
- Coordinates the diagnoses, isolation and de-bugging of software and hardware problems and performs problem resolution
- Ensures adherence to standards and best practices
- Lead the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of applications
Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- 7-9 years total work experience
- Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain
- Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise
- Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
