Customer Service Representative, Employee Services Contact Center (Full Time M-F 12\\:30 pm - 9 pm)

Job Overview:
 
Responsible for answering inbound calls, chats, and self-service cases from associates regarding questions about general HR information and or their benefit plans.  Make outbound calls as needed regarding HR issues and / or our benefit programs. 
 
Perform other duties as assigned.  This position is based out of Springdale Ohio.
 
Essential Functions:
 
• Provide excellent customer service to all Macy's associates regarding questions about and/or issues with HR and benefit programs.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of systems and several other research tools; answer incoming calls, chats, self-service cases; meet Service Level Agreements for these tasks
• Demonstrate working knowledge of benefit policies and HR issues
• Effectively communicate procedures and policies to associates both verbally and in writing.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education/Experience:
 
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 
• One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
 
Communication Skills:
 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
 
Mathematical Skills:
 
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
 
Reasoning Ability:
 
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
 
Physical Demands:
 
• This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment and may involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
 
Other Skills:
 
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service to external and internal customers on a consistent basis;
• Computer navigation and keyboarding skills;
• Strong decision making skills;  
• Strong time management skills.
 
Work Hours:
 
• Monday - Friday 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
