Furnishings & Equipment (F&E) Engineer opportunities are available at Bell Helicopter on the V-280 Future Vertical Lift Program. This position may be located at Bell Helicopter’s headquarters facility in Ft. Worth, TX or the Bell Flight Research Center in Arlington, TX.
The F&E Engineer is responsible for:
Developing system requirements for F&E systems for the baseline aircraft as well as kit and customization options. F&E systems include seats, interiors, cargo hook, hoist, and miscellaneous equipment.
Conducting design and analysis of the F&E systems and integrating these components into the aircraft with interfacing systems
Managing supplier development and qualification efforts
System design, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, verification and validation testing, aircraft functional and flight test, and aircraft/system qualification and certification
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field) is required.
- Master of Science Degree is preferred.
Position Requirements:
• Experience at all levels will be considered with a minimum of 2 years specific experience with mechanical control systems integration, development, and testing. At least 5 years experience is preferred.
• Experience with F&E development and testing
• Experience with computational design computer software is required. Experience with CATIA V5/V6 is preferred.
• Familiarity with model based systems engineering
