Key Responsibilities
The Paint Operations Planning Manager works closely with upstream and downstream customers; Customer Service, Supply Chain and Paint Operations. He/She is responsible for leading their team of Planner/Schedulers and Expeditors to enable the plant to successfully execute the daily production schedule while meeting plant goals for Safety, Delivery, Cost and Inventory.
The Paint Operations Planning Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining the teamwork needed at all levels of their department to ensure customer and business needs are consistently met and that continuous improvement is occurring utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Quality Tools and other processes.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/logistics, engineering, chemistry or other technical field with supervisory experience in a production environment.
- 2 years' supply chain experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 5 years or more successful operations planning in a production environment is required.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated team building and communication skills as well as ability to execute in a rapidly changing, high energy environment.
