Working supervisor focused on leading admin. clerks in the Strongsville shipping office. Defining workloads/schedules, training, working with our third party supervision/labor, developing, interaction with our contracted trucking/carrier, resolution of customer issues (both internal and external), cost control and savings, conformance to customer requirements
Supervise the Strongsville Distribution team to ensure a safe, production and 5S compliant operation. Uphold all PPG Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements along with Export Compliance. This includes responsibility for coordinating shipping of materials to customers and locations outside of Cleveland. Oversees outside contractors who performs the loading, unloading and inventory movements within the Strongsville facility. Communicate with Cleveland plant throughout the day to ensure shipments occur. Communicate with full truckload and expedited carriers to transport products and equipment. Able to respond to and support any safety, policy, 5S or human resource need to ensure safe and consistent operations.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Degreed, 5-7 years’ experience in supervision;
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years warehouse operations experience preferred.

Effective human resources skills, including written and oral communications, are critical to obtain expected results. Transportation/Logistics knowledge and experience required. Shipping/receiving operations; supervisory experience with teams from 4-10 people; logistics/warehouse operations
