Located in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and reporting to the General Finishes Lab Segment Team Leader, the incumbent will work in a laboratory environment and have exposure to many different technologies and coatings based on water and solvent. In this role the incumbent will develop their formulation expertise while solving customer needs.
Additional responsibilities include:

Design experiments, prepare, apply, test, and troubleshoot liquid coatings to meet customer specifications and requirements in the industrial coatings market.

Interact with peer chemists, technicians, field sales/service, manufacturing teams and PPG customers.

Work effectively in a collaborative team environment supporting current and future customers with their coatings solutions.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Two years' experience with coatings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous formulation and laboratory experience, working closely with customers and supporting their coatings technical needs.
Required Skills:
- Understanding of coatings technology.
- Ability to effectively design coatings formulations.
- Ability to work collaborative across all functions internally and externally.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
