As a coatings chemist you will formulate, spray, test and troubleshoot liquid coatings to meet customer specifications and requirements in the industrial coatings segment. Work is in a plant lab environment and candidate will interact with peer chemists, technicians, field sales/service, manufacturing and directly with customers. In this role you will need to have an understanding of structure/property relationships, and bench engagement in the design, formulation and testing of coatings.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- 5 years of experience with coatings formulation in solvent borne technologies
Required Skills:

Strong understanding of fundamental chemistry and polymeric structure / property relationships.

Disciplined problem solving skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, quality control, technical service reps and sales reps
