The primary responsibility of the Product Manager is to plan, strategize, implement and manage marketing functions of the North American Automotive Refinish. This position interacts heavily with the End users, Sales, Technical, Training, Customer Service, Manufacturing and Distribution groups in order to effectively manage complexities surrounding product performance, pricing, positioning and needs. The position requires a strong balance skills and experience primarily in the following areas:
Marketing Strategy & Analysis – Responsible for product marketing strategy and analysis including product portfolio, positioning, pricing, product channels and competitive analysis.
Product Development to facilitate the following: forecasting sales and profitability potential, work with product development to identify key attributes, competitive benchmarks, and customer needs, field trials and commercialization approval.
Product Commercialization activities such as product launches, communication and literature development, demand creation, and sales programs and promotions.
Product Line Maintenance including sales forecasting and working capital management, product life cycle, customer service, vendor management, and EHS issues.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business/technical field or equivalent experience.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication as well as strong analytical and mathematical skills. Minimum of at least 5 years prior experience in marketing, field sales or related capacity with a proven track record of success.
