This position is accountable for the daily, weekly and monthly preparation and analysis of reports for management's use in fiscal decision making.
The Analyst is also accountable for processing and reporting financial information in an accurate and timely manner and the implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Responsible for daily review of production variances and the administration of the variance detail tracking report.
• Supervise monthly physical inventories, reconcile variances and make necessary corrections to perpetual and book inventories.
• Responsible for monthly close of financial data to the General Ledger and Fixed Asset System.
• Assist the Accounting Manager in the development of the Annual Operating Budget.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, account reconciliations, transfer pricing and special projects.
• Analyze monthly P&L summaries for anomalies, investigate and report findings to management.
• Serve as the site interface with Division and Regional Accounting.
• Develop quarterly site, regional, division and corporate reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide analytical support for Operational Excellence cost savings projects; including Lean projects, Six Sigma, Capital Projects, Kaizen Events and 5S projects.
• Participation toward completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
• Must have a four year degree from an accredited institution
• Must have previous experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel• Must have at least one year of Accounting experience
Other Qualifications:
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational skills (time management)
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Two (2) or more years of Accounting experience is preferred.
• Previous Accounting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred
• Experience in Oracle and/or Business Objects is preferred
• Previous experience with preparing an annual budget is preferred
• Willingness to relocate, if considered for future promotional opportunities is preferred
