Interested in becoming a Senior Analyst, Strategic Analytics?  The Senior Analyst, Strategic Analytics is a new position on the Strategic Analytics team. The position will help provide both day-to-day insights and big picture analysis to help optimize performance across Aaron’s business units. The role requires the ability to leverage financial & business knowledge to influence senior leadership and help formulate recommendations related to the company’s corporate strategy or operations.

 

 

 

 

Key projects will involve the position working cross functionally by identifying areas of opportunity to drive revenue by instilling data-driven best practices across the company. The role will proactively highlight opportunities and risks by building business case models to assess performance. This person must have strong analytical and communication skills to synthesize findings into actionable insights.

Job Duties:

 

 

  • Engages with business leaders and team members to understand the needs of the business, turn them into data requirements, and structure data-based solutions as required by the business
  • Conduct in depth analyses of performance across a variety of company projects, and present recommendations to team members, product owners, and senior management
  • Leverage visualization tools to blend data from multiple data sources to help answer key business questions
  • Develop a detailed, strategic analytical framework inclusive of predictive analytics to guide company initiatives
  • Lead complex quantitative and qualitative research efforts and business intelligence solutions
  • Help define and recommend measurement, strategies, and reporting that will be used to inform key business decisions and drive a best-in-class customer experience while delivering profitable results
  • Pro-actively participate in and identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, standardization and process simplification
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements within the work area to management resulting in increased revenue and/or reduction of expense

Position Requirements:

 

 

  • Four-year college degree
  • Ability to extract data from multiple sources, explore and understand the nature of the data as it relates to the business activity, and utilize analysis to derive insights most commonly presented in Tableau / PowerBI or other dashboarding tools
  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytics or financial role
  • Expert level understanding of Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and PowerPoint and how to ‘tell a story’ that provides insight into the business by leveraging data
  • Proficient SQL programming skills preferred
  • Experience in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods and can apply them appropriately to business issues
  • Must be very organized, detail-oriented and resourceful
