Overview:

 

Responsible for providing excellent customer service; assisting the customer with online purchases for International Cosmetics & Perfumes – The House of Creed and Bloomingdale’s; proactively chatting online with customers to answer questions, provide suggestions, and convert sales; helping customers understand the brand and products by communicating the features, advantages, and benefits of the merchandise; exhibiting extensive product knowledge based on training received; promoting and maintaining the ICP company culture and values of transparency, recognition, accountability, and communication; performing other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Chat online with bloomingdales.com customers seeking assistance and recommendations for product selections.
  • Close sales, upsell, and assist with checkout.
  • Maintain product and policy knowledge.
  • Maintain system knowledge of bloomingdales.com.
  • Create and send promotional and targeted emails to CREED clients regarding corporate events, fragrance launches, and specific scents in order to strengthen the client relationship and increase brand awareness; offer personalized assistance and a direct link to the CREED page where clients can directly purchase the product.
  • Provide personalized advice for customers seeking new and existing fragrances.
  • Utilize the clientele system to track purchase history, sample history, contact information, and email address; ensure all clients are receiving appropriate sampling; follow-up to ensure clients’ needs are being met.
  • Execute planned events and promotions.
  • Strive to accomplish and exceed selling goals for the brand; review CREED net ship and sales for preceding day to ensure sales plans are met; keep a Daily Business Review to track individual sales, sales generated on bloomingdales.com, outbound initiatives, and all inbound correspondence; provide the DBR updates to CREED and Bloomingdale’s management.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred
.

 
Communication Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
 
Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; apply concepts of basic algebra
 
Reasoning Ability:  Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form; solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
 
Physical Demands:  Regularly required to sit, and use hands to finger, handle, and feel; frequently required to talk and hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; requires close vision
 
Other Skills:  Ability to provide outstanding customer service to external and internal customers on a consistent basis; ability to effectively manage customer expectations and build loyal customer relationships; ability to take control of and resolve customer issues utilizing active listening skills; ability to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs; ability to be a self-starter who is comfortable taking the initiative; strong selling skills; strong decision-making abilities; strong analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; energetic and dependable; motivated and results driven; ability to navigate multiple computer applications and work from a dual monitor setup; experience with Word and Excel; ability to complete financial transactions accurately and proficiently; 2 years relevant experience with a beauty brand, cosmetics or fragrance training preferred.
 
Work Hours:  Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
